Agawam Town is the home of the largest Six-Flags Amusement park in New England.

The mid size town of Agawam Town is home to a little over 28,000 people. Agawam is part of the Springfield Metropolitan area and is thus part of the Knowledge Corridor, an area very well known. Anne Sullivan, teacher to Helen Keller, was born in the Feeding Hills neighborhood of Agawam Town. With beautiful spring and summer weather that makes being outdoors a joy, and the stereotypical New England autumns that bring in droves of leaf watchers, this area has abundant natural beauty and outdoor activities. Winter is in a class by itself, as the snowy days are made for postcards (unless, of course, you hate snow).

Moving to Agawam Town

Moving here can be a bit trying at times. First of all you don't want to attempt this in winter. Beyond that, you will need references, proof of income and a decent credit report. Agawam Town Neighborhoods

There are six distinct neighborhoods in Agawam Town.

Suffield Corner: There are plenty of restaurant options. You have the normal chain options plus some local ones that include what is best described as pubs.

City Center: There is a ton of stuff to do here as this is also the cultural hub of Agawam Town. You can expect to find museums, theaters and great places to dine in this neighborhood.

O'Briens Corner: With the ability to walk most places, this neighborhood is flush with restaurants, shops, and bars. All of this is within a fairly easy walk.

Springfield**Road:** There are plenty of places to walk to in the immediate area.

Feeding Hills: A fairly even mix of stately old homes and modern new McMansions. Be sure to check out the cultural sites, including the birthplace of Anne Sullivan (teacher to Helen Keller) and the local gardens. Of course, if it's autumn you can always look at the leaves. Everyone else does.
