Haysville is a city in Sedgwick County, Kansas, with a population of 10,826. It's basically a suburb of Wichita and is only a short drive from downtown. The town dates back to the early 1870s and is about 5 square miles on the map. There are a number of festivals held here throughout the year, such as the Haysville Fall Festival that takes place in October around Riggs Park. There's also a large Community Expo held in April at the Haysville Community Library. According to Movoto, it's the 4th best place in Kansas to retire to, but it's not just for the grandparents! The city caters to all demographics and draws in young and old alike. You can easily get to Wichita on the Kansas-Turnpike, which runs right through the east side of town, and S. Broadway Street runs North and South through the town as well.
Moving to Haysville
If you're planning to move to Haysville, you'll be happy to know that there's a fair amount of rental homes available! The area has a decent vacancy rate and you'll find two bedroom apartments, 3 bedroom apartments and other sizes all over town. It's a good idea to contact a realtor to help show you around some of the available apartments for rent. Try to look at places all over the city so you can get a feel for what is available. It's also a good idea to ask yourself what qualities are important to you in renting an apartment. Do you want to be close to the highway so that you can commute easily? Do you like having parks and grassy areas nearby? Do you prefer living in apartment complexes with a lot of neighbors or further out on your own with more space? Once you've answered all these questions about your apartment, you can contact realtors and landlords to start scheduling appointments to see apartments. Be sure to show up on time and have a friendly attitude - first impressions go a long way!

Neighborhoods
Haysville is pretty much divided up into four quadrants, each with its own characteristics. Here's a little more info about each of them.
Northwest Haysville: This area is home to both Colt Stadium and Riggs Park, which is one of the prettiest areas in the city to relax and have a picnic or go for a jog. The Post Office is also here, which completes the happy, Leave It To Beaver type neighborhood setting.
Northeast Haysville: Up here you'll find the much more rural Plagens-Carpenter Park and a small, winding subdivision with mostly single-family homes. The Wichita Valleycenter Floodway runs right through the center of it. You could say, a river runs through it!
Southwest Haysville: This is a more residential area with a few small streets with apartment rentals and standalone homes. You'll have to drive north to find any food or grocery stores.
Southeast Haysville: In this part of town, you can find the Old Oaks Disc Golf Course and Haysville City Public Works. Rene's Restaurant is also one of the local favorites.
Living in Haysville
Life here is about as bucolic as it comes! With the many beautiful town parks and the sleepy floodway running through the area, you won't be surprised that it's a pretty picturesque setting. There are great food options, from Donavons Steamin weenies to Bionic Burger and you're also right off of I-35 in case you need to get to Wichita in a flash! Haysville offers the best of both worlds. If you like festivals, you'll be entertained all year round! There's the Fall festival in October, the Village Christmas Festival where you can find hot cocoa, carriage rides and choir performances, Springnanigans in May and the wonderful 4th of July celebration ending in a gigantic fireworks show in Riggs Park! It's a town that prides itself on having a high quality of life and a lot of good, down home fun and entertainment. And being so close to Wichita is a huge perk, too. Whether you're driving in to Wichita to work or just to have fun and take in the sights, you won't be sitting in traffic for too long before you're right in the heart of downtown.
