Decades ago, Lakemoor was a destination for people who wanted a summer home near the lake in a quiet and pristine area. Although more year-round residents live here today, the lure of the town has not been forgotten.

Village Center: As the name implies, this is the spot to go to if you want to be near the town's center. Instead of shopping malls and large venues, you will find a public library, quiet cafes like Buddy's and Rosetti's Pizza in this neighborhood. It's also close to the beautiful Lily Lake.

North Lakemoor: This side of town is where you'll find the beautiful Sullivan Lake and the Park Lane Nature Park. It's a quiet, residential area with mostly single family homes.

Living in Lakemoor

Bluegill. Largemouth bass. Crappie. Carp. Perch. If you have any idea what this means, you will be excited to know that you can catch (or catch and release, in the case of the bass) fish such as these for several months out of the year at Sullivan Lake and Lily Lake. There are also quite a few nature areas nearby, like the Volo Bog State Natural Area. You'll find great restaurants in town, too, such as Henny Penny's and The Chatter Box of Long Grove, where residents like to socialize with their neighbors.
