Folks in Lake Villa do a lot of driving and make gas station owners very happy. You will need to drive most places, as public transportation isn't the greatest. The good news is you will have many places to go, as Lake Villa and the surrounding communities offer a bevy of art galleries, museums, theaters, and shopping venues. There are enough restaurants to keep your belly full all the time, with favorites like Sullivan's Steakhouse and Dover Straits leading the pack.
