You are just a mile from the 53rd St entertainment center with great shopping and restaurants. Mariano's is just over a mile to the north. Whole Foods is east. Trader Joe's at 55th St. The Cottage Grove bus stops one block west heading to the Loop and beyond. It's an easy walk east to the express bus to the Loop and the Metra. The University of Chicago is 10 blocks south. Mandrake Park is a few blocks north with its running track. The new pedestrian bridge to the lakefront and Oakwood Beach and Marina is a few blocks northeast and there is a bridge to the lakefront at 47th St as well. So lovely to watch the boats and enjoy the lake. The lush Drexel Boulevard parkway has recently refurbished paths for shady walks. It is a mere 10 minute drive to the Loop along the majestic Lake Shore Drive. The building was a well regarded condo conversion in 2004 with 2 elevators, a lovely formal building foyer, an equipped exercise room and a parking lot with a deeded spot that is included in the rent. Also included is heat, internet access, hot water and upkeep on the building. While your heat is paid for by the landlord, you have individual controls so you can always be at the temperature you like. Central A/C too. You'll only need to pay an electric bill and cable if you want it. Experienced landlord is also a licensed designated managing broker in Illinois.
