City Guide for Aiea, HI

Five months prior to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Commander Thomas C Latimore from the USS Dobin, suddenly vanished while taking a stroll in the hills just above Aiea. Aiea is a census-designated place, or CDP, within the county and city of Honolulu, in Hawaii. It's a tiny little place, boasting an area of 1.8 square miles, and yet the populace is well packed in, somewhat akin to sardines, and is over 9,000 inhabitants strong. Hawaii Route 90, which is otherwise known as Kamehameha Highway, divides much of Aiea from the shoreline of Pearl Harbor. For most folks who chose to reside in Hawaii, they do so for the sun, the sea, and the sand. And there's certainly no shortage of any of the three in Aiea. It's a busy place all year round, with a thriving nightlife to boot, but come the summer months when the throngs of holidaymakers arrive from the mainland, you'll be hard-pressed to find a spot on the local beach or a stool at the neighborhood bar. What to keep in mind when looking for condos in Aiea, HI

Finding condos for rent in Aiea is almost no different than renting an apartment in a big complex. The real difference is the ownership. Condos are owned by individuals within the same building. However, apartments in a large complex are owned by a single landlord or property management group.

Sometimes the price of condos in Aiea may prove cheaper. The owners are often moving onto a new home or leaving the city and just need someone to cover the costs. Apartment complexes are designed to deal with tenant issues, make repairs, and care for the property. Condo owners will still deal with repairs and upkeep but may need more time to address a problem, especially if they don’t live nearby. However, condo owners have a more vested interest in the property and keeping their tenants happy to reduce turnover.

Choose the best condos for rent in Aiea that meet your wishlist for budget, amenities, and layout. You probably won’t notice the difference between the condos and apartments you tour.
