City Guide for Irondale, GA

"I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech, and a hell of an engineer / A helluva, helluva, helluva, helluva, hell of an engineer." -- Georgia Tech

Irondale, Georgia is one of the few cities in the United States that doesn't have a past. In fact, no matter how much you look up about this city, you're going to draw blanks each and every time. But think about it -- is it really necessary to have a past to be relevant in the present? I think that was supposed come across all philosophical, but instead I've just confused myself and I'm sure you're scratching your head too, so I'll accept the embarrassment and bow out now. I will say though that it is pretty weird for a town not to have a past (it might just be because it is a Census Designated Town, so it was never "officially established") or it could be a conspiracy in which the government / Illuminati wiped the historical data off of their space computers. I really should have stopped at the last paragraph. See more

What to keep in mind when looking for dog friendly apartments in Irondale, GA

Finding an apartment in Irondale that accepts your pet may not be easy, but it’s very possible. Keep in mind, most of the time you’ll have to pay a premium for bringing your dog along in your new apartment. Some apartments require you to pay monthly pet rent, others will ask for a non-refundable pet fee or a refundable pet deposit.

While landlords and property management companies have varying pet policies, most of them limit the number of dogs you can bring to your apartment and include breed and weight restrictions.

If your pet falls under some of the restrictions outlined in the pet policy, it’s still worth asking the landlord if they can make an exception for your dog. Preparing a pet resume ahead of time could help you build the case for your furry friend. Make sure to include information on behavioral training your dog went through over the years and proof of vaccinations. If you can, include references from your former landlord and/or neighbors.
