City Guide for Irondale, GA

"I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech, and a hell of an engineer / A helluva, helluva, helluva, helluva, hell of an engineer." -- Georgia Tech

Irondale, Georgia is one of the few cities in the United States that doesn't have a past. In fact, no matter how much you look up about this city, you're going to draw blanks each and every time. But think about it -- is it really necessary to have a past to be relevant in the present? I think that was supposed come across all philosophical, but instead I've just confused myself and I'm sure you're scratching your head too, so I'll accept the embarrassment and bow out now. I will say though that it is pretty weird for a town not to have a past (it might just be because it is a Census Designated Town, so it was never "officially established") or it could be a conspiracy in which the government / Illuminati wiped the historical data off of their space computers. I really should have stopped at the last paragraph. See more

What to keep in mind when looking for apartments with balconies in Irondale, GA

Balconies are a coveted amenity for many renters looking for high-rise views and opportunities for fresh air. However, you should keep in mind that balconies often come with restrictions.

Before signing a lease, ask about how many people can be on the balcony at once. Also, ask about whether you’re allowed to store a bike or other items.

You’ll also want to know about any maintenance schedules. Using your balcony as storage could result in fines and intervention from your property management.

Keep in mind that not all balconies are created equally. You may discover the views of the parking area are less than optimal or reduce your overall privacy.

Balconies can also get messy with debris, foliage, dirt, and pollen depending on your location. Renters are typically responsible for any clean-up and basic balcony upkeep.

Regardless of the issues to keep in mind, balconies are usually a big win for Irondale renters. Ask about apartments on higher floors for the best views.
