City Guide for Myrtle Grove, FL

"Florida isn't so much a place where one goes to reinvent oneself, as it is a place where one goes if one no longer wished to be found." - Douglas Coupland

Myrtle Grove is a census designated city that resides in Escambia County, Florida. If you like to get out and about in the early afternoon, you might find a few things to do, you know, like swimming, as Myrtle Grove is surrounded by water. People who live in the city often refer to themselves as Pensacolians since they are in very close proximity to West and South Pensacola. Funnily enough, there is no East Pensacola (the only thing east of the city is water -- or may be a hidden land that resides below the surface). If you just need to have an East Pensacola, you'll be happy to hear that there is a South East and North East Pensacola (go figure). This city is bordered by Blue Angel Parkway, Warrington, West Pensacola and Bellevue (no, not Bellevue the psych hospital, although there might be a connection that we don't know about). This city is mainly a beach community, but there is a pretty sizable downtown area with lots of businesses. See more

What to keep in mind when looking for apartments with parking in Myrtle Grove, FL

Parking can be at a premium in some cities where spaces are challenging to find. Some Myrtle Grove apartments offer parking options, either outside in a common area or within a private garage.

Ask about the stipulations around the parking. Those may include how many guests are allowed and where tenants park.

Some apartments may only allow parking in front of your own unit. Guest parking may be in a common area for up to one person.

If parking is scarce, look around the area before you sign a lease. Ample street parking in a neighborhood championed for its safety is probably fine. However, it’s probably not worth signing a lease if it means battling for daily parking for you and your guests.

Research whether you need a city permit to park in the neighborhood. Look into the associated costs and what to do about visitors who need parking.

Some tenants prefer garage parking near their units. However, an open-air lot may prove cheaper.

Keep in mind that the cost of wear and tear from parking outside can add up. It may be less expensive, in the long run, to look for an apartment with garage parking.
