The Villages: The Villages is one of the most popular communities in Lady Lake and is actually incorporated as its own city. The city has its own newspaper, "The Daily Sun," as well as a TV station and bank. This is a rapidly growing area compared to other neighborhoods in Lady Lake.

Lake Sumter Landing: This neighborhood features live entertainment every night of the year, making it great for lovers of nightlife! Occasionally, tent markets are set up for an open-air shopping experience, which is a refreshing alternative to the brick-and-mortar shops that normally serve residents from three separate town square areas.

Arden Place: This is a great neighborhood for folks looking for 1 bedroom apartments and 2 bedroom apartments -- Arden Place is home to multiple complexes.

Cathedral Arch Estates: This community is focused on country living but is still convenient to all of the shopping, restaurants, and entertainment available in the rest of Lady Lake. Most of the homes here are private dwellings, and occasionally you can find a home for rent here. Many of the homes also come with guest homes, which the owners like to rent out. This area also has a community pond called Jug's Pond -- it's a great place to sip lemonade and read a book.

Orange Blossom Gardens: This community is comprised mostly of single dwellings featuring one to four bedrooms. This area enjoys lower than average crime rates. Most of the homes feature electric heat, with just a small percentage using natural gas.

Water Oaks Country Club: This is a gated community within Lady Lake, right off Highway 27 between the towns of Leesburg and Ocala. Water Oaks encompasses roughly three hundred acres of property, mostly hills and trees, where residents can easily enjoy walking, jogging, bike riding, tennis, golf, shopping, playing cards, bingo, swimming, tanning, and more! This neighborhood is in high demand, so if you want to move here, start your search early.

Living in Lady Lake

Besides the spectacular weather, Lady Lake (like the rest of Florida) has the added benefit of zero sales tax, making the area a shopper's paradise. The city operates seven golf courses, as well as a bevy of tennis courts, playgrounds, and other sports fields. The Lady Lake Historical Society operates a museum, and the city also offers a community building that can be rented for parties and events.
