Custom-built with exceptional attention to detail, this house was designed to provide every comfort and convenience for large family gatherings, and to take maximum advantage of its stunning location, with extensive outdoor living space and phenomenal views from every room in the house. Let the sun and the salt air work its soothing magic on you. Exchange your car for a golf cart, and replace your computer screen with vast unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico. Watch dolphins play while you drink your morning coffee, watch the sun set over the water with an evening cocktail, and marvel at the stars from the hot tub on the deck at night.

The house is located in the exclusive gated community of Rum Cove, which is itself set within the private car-free Palm Island Resort. The house is placed for maximum privacy at the end of a long tree-lined shelled driveway. The 2.5 acre lot is lush with mature tropical vegetation including palm trees, banyan trees, hanging wild orchids, and mangroves. Sandy footpaths wind through the property, and a boardwalk leads out to a private gazebo on an inland mangrove-lined waterway.

The main level of the house has a spacious great room at the center. Large windows overlook the Gulf of Mexico and Stump Pass, and sliding doors lead out to expansive wrap-around decks, both covered and uncovered. In this light-filled open space there are two cozy seating areas (one with a television), a large dining table, and a smaller breakfast table, which sits within conversation distance of the well-appointed chef’s kitchen. The kitchen was designed with entertaining in mind and is stocked with all the dishes, utensils and countertop appliances you might need to prepare large gourmet meals. The kitchen is equipped with dual appliances (two of everything) and a propane grill sits on the deck just outside. There is a laundry room off the kitchen. Convenient to the main downstairs space is a half bath as well as a comfortable den with a second television.

All five spacious bedrooms are located on the main level of the house, down hallways leading off of either side of the central space. Each bedroom has a Queen sized bed (one also has a crib) and an ensuite bathroom (most of the bathrooms have large showers- one bathroom has a tub).

Across the road from the house are a resort-owned tennis court and a swimming pool, both available for guest use. In the garage beneath the house there are four golf carts which are available to rent for an additional fee. Use the golf carts to get around the island and take advantage of the amenities offered by the resort, including a restaurant, a fitness center, massage services, tennis courts and swimming pools. The resort offers a full calendar of activities including tennis lessons and round robins, pickleball, beach yoga, guided nature walks, and more. Rent a kayak or a paddleboard, book a boat tour or a fishing trip, or arrange a boat or jet ski rental from the mainland. If you have a boat you’d like to bring, slip rentals are also available from the resort.
