City Guide
Warner Center, Los Angeles
If your definition of the good life includes lots of new buildings, great shopping, and easy access to highways, you can’t do much better than Warner Center. This master planned community has all of the amenities you need in a beautiful, green environment.

There’s an appealing mix of the business life and an upscale community feeling. It’s very possible to both live and work right in Warner Center and get home within minutes, which completely bypasses the notoriously heavy Los Angeles traffic. Warner Center is a small enclave inside of equally popular Woodland Hills, which gives you easy access to the best of both worlds.

When you’re surrounded by well-manicured lawns, lots of trees and clean sidewalks, it’s easy to feel like you’re in a park-like setting already. But Warner Center has its own park, Warner Ranch Park. This park is not only a great place to take the kids to play on the playground equipment or to do yoga outdoors, it’s also a community hub. The Valley Cultural Center sponsors free concerts in the park every Sunday (insider tip: get there early if you want to score good parking.)

If you’re looking for an apartment in Warner Center, you should not expect to have long waits for an available unit, although 3-bedroom apartments are a bit more competitive. You also should not expect to get discounts or move-in incentives. Most apartment buildings and condos in Warner Center are considered to be in the luxury category. You can expect premium amenities such as yoga and spin rooms, dog parks, smart home technology, and smoke-free buildings—but expect premium rent prices as well. Come prepared with good references and an income that’s at least three times the rent. Credentials matter a lot for most properties in Warner Center as well, so you may want to peek at your credit report first and make sure there are no surprises.

Life in Warner Center brings all the good things you want in the place you call home. You can enjoy a casual, delicious Mediterranean meal at Panini Café. The Rack is a great place to meet friends in a pub environment or just relax and enjoy a beer. Of course, Warner Center is home to lots of upscale chain restaurants as well.

Most people drive in Warner Center, although it is common to walk to shopping and restaurants. When you need to get to other areas within Los Angeles, you can use the Orange Line for public transit as well. Many renters appreciate the easy commuter access to the 101 and State Route 27, the latter of which is a scenic drive that will take you to the famously gorgeous Pacific Coast Highway and beach spots like Malibu and Santa Monica.

Parking is not necessarily included with all apartment rentals, so make sure you ask when you’re signing a lease. Many properties assign only one parking space per unit, regardless of the number of tenants. Many apartments are also pet-friendly and will allow you to bring along one or two cats or dogs, though you will likely have to pay pet deposits and additional monthly pet rent, and breed restrictions are common. However, the onsite dog parks you’ll find at many properties will make you feel like your furry friends are as welcome as you are.
