French Valley is a tiny place located halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego. It’s a small suburban town that people say is great for families and people looking for peace and quiet. About 20,000 people call French Valley home, and its residents brag about its high-quality of living, excellent schools, and outstanding affordability.

Moving to French Valley

If you’re looking for an apartment in French Valley, you’ll want to begin your search prepared. Gather all the documents you’ll need to put in an apartment application – like copies of your IDs, proof of employment, tax returns, bank statements, letters from previous landlords and more. The Golf Club at Rancho California: The Golf Club at Rancho California is a club smack dab in the middle of the French Valley area. This club is considered to be one of the best in Southern California, and with it comes a neighborhood of ritziness and wealth.

Temecula: Temecula backs up to French Valley to the south. It’s a much bigger city than French Valley. There are lots of nice places to live in Temecula, but overall the housing offerings come in a range of prices, so it’s a good choice if you’re looking for something cheap.

Murrieta: Murrieta is French Valley’s neighbor just to the west. It’s considered to be more of a commuter town into San Diego, and it offers affordable housing for people who spend most of their lives in the much more expensive San Diego. There’s lots of entertainment in Murrieta (besides golf) including movie theaters, laser tag centers, arcades and more.

Menifee: If you choose to live in the north of French Valley, you’ll basically be living in Menifee, a small town to the north of French Valley proper. It’s a ranch town, so there are lots of big houses with big yards.

A few attractions in the area, like the Old Town Temecula Historic district, which can give you a taste of what it felt like right when the town settlers came west and set up shop, or the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve, one of the nicest places to spend time outside and spot wildlife. The area is also rife with spas, wineries, golf and more.

Why choose French Valley? Because it’s cheap, and you get the year-round sunshine and warm climate. There’s also an airport in town (a small one), so you can fly in and out if you have a private plane (or helicopter) or know someone who will let you use theirs.
