Marlton is a census-designated place (CDP) in Prince George's County, located in central Maryland. With a population of close to 8,000 people spread out over six square miles, Marlton is considered part of Upper Marlboro. Marlton is about 15 miles from Washington, D.C., and many who work in the nation's capital use Marlton as a bedroom community. South Marlton: The southwest neighborhood of Marlton looks like a finger jutting out. This area is more affordable than the section immediately north of it, and you'll also have good proximity to the Crain Highway.

Living in Marlton

Marlton is pretty spread out, and you're going to need a car to get around. With a Walk Score of 20, you might be able to do some errands on foot, but if you want to leave the community (and with the nation's capital just a hop, skip and a jump away, you're going to want to get out there and explore!), you'll want a set of wheels. There's not a good public transportation option here, but if you want to drive to an Amtrak station, you can take the train into the capital or to various areas.

Within Marlton itself, you have a lot of options for dining, shopping and keeping yourself occupied. Most of the usual fast food joints are located in various areas of town, particularly along Rt. 301. These include McDonald's, Subway, Blimpie and Pizza Hut. You'll also find a Bojangles, an American Buffalo Wings and, if you're feeling like trying something more exotic, Caribbean Flava and Mom's Thai Kitchen. For boutique shopping, you've got Toni Amari, Polly Pearl and Ultimate Boutique. If wedding bells are in your future, you might want to stop in to C M Bridal.
