You just can't beat the Brats in a town known for its annual Bratwurst Festival. You can sample the best the rest of the year at The Bratworks, Ltd. stand inside the drive-through liquor store. People buy them by the case to take home to grill, but the staff will do the work for you for a few bucks so you can nibble on the way home.

It's fiesta time for your taste buds at Los Arrieros Mexican Restaurant. Charming and cozy, their Chilaquiles Mexicanos are so good, it drives the locals loco.

Get Outdoors

There are plenty of places to play outdoors in Bucyrus. Four city parks have great facilities for swimming in the public pool, playground, and a disc golf course. Concerts in the Park at the Shunk Memorial Carillon, shelters with grills, picnic areas, the Friendship Bridge, soccer, baseball and softball fields and skateboarding ramps round out anybody's play time.

Getting Around

Public transportation is non-existent in Bucyrus, which means you'll need a car. Most drivers have a 19 minute commute; some days, and some hours, it takes longer. The closest passenger airport is Port Columbus International Airport. Since many of the roads in the area are rural, bicycling is enjoyable and easy.
