Twin Rivers is a census-designated place located in East Windsor Township in New Jersey. It's population is 7,443 and it is only 1.3 square miles! That means it packs a lot into a tiny few blocks! It's an urban setting with a lot of houses and apartment complexes lining its streets. It's sandwiched in between Monroe and Cranbury Townships, both of which have plenty of shopping, farmers' markets, restaurants and antique stores if you want to venture into either to take advantage of the different options. It's located near exit 8 on the New Jersey Turnpike, which makes it easy to hop on and off, and a lot of people commute the hour into New York City for work!
Moving to Twin Rivers
If you're planning a move here anytime soon, come on down! You'll be happy to know that there are tons of places to rent in Twin Rivers. There's a fair vacancy rate, too, so if you put the time and effort into making it happen, you'll be able to rent an apartment in no time. Start by making appointments with landlords to see vacant apartments. It's good to have an idea of what you're looking for so that you don't waste your time looking at apartments for rent that aren't right for you! Do you want a single-family house or a large apartment complex? Do you want to live near a park or grassy area? Do you need to be right near the highway to shorten your commute time? All of these things will help you narrow down and refine your search so you can zone in on the right places. Also ask yourself what your budget is. Renting here isn't cheap, so you'll want to make sure you have enough money saved up to cover the deposit, if there is one!
What you'll need: Renting here, you're going to need to have a folder ready with all the necessary documents that your landlord might want to see. This means a copy of your ID, credit report, bank statements, pay stubs, letter of employment, references, rental application and anything else you might need to show your landlord. If you're planning to bring a pet, it's a good idea to bring along paperwork for him or her, too, proving that they're in good health and have had all their shots, and so on. Finally, don't forget to bring your checkbook! This is the most important thing to have along when renting an apartment.
Neighborhoods
The town is divided up into four distinct sections, which are known as quads. Here's a little more info about each of them.
Quad 1: Quad 1 has a community room and a shopping center and is located on the southern side of Route 33. You can find plenty of property rentals in this section.
Quad 2: Over here you'll find a quiet area with a peaceful lake and the Twin Rivers Medical Center. The Brooklyn Bagel and Deli is also in this Quad.
Quad 3: This is a very rural and residential part of town located north of Route 33. There isn't much except for single-family houses in this area.
Quad 4: This is a peaceful area with a small lake and charming, winding roads with single-family houses. It's mostly owner-occupied over here.
