You know you're getting a great deal when an apartment description begins with "across Garfield Park" and ends with a rent in the mid three figures. Throw in "short walk from CTA Green Line" and "great skyline views" and you have the perfect bachelor (or bachelorette) pad. The corner location on 6 N. Hamlin gives the Midwest Apartments a great view of the Chicago skyline, along with the breezy view of Garfield Park across the road. The building itself is described as "vintage" and just oozes history, although you wouldn't know that from the lobby or the apartments - which have been completely redone. Then there are the perks of the location: chow spots like Carmine's Chicago Pizza and J.D. Kadds Pizza just around the corner, and several watering holes a little under two miles away - Nick's Naberhood Pub, Emerald Isle and Edison Park Inn. Parking is on-street, which can be a problem in this high-traffic location. The apartment carpeting could use an update as well, and the no-pets policy makes it a no-go for Max the dog and Kitty Purry.
